Romain Pilon Trio au 38Riv
| Jazz, compositions
Considered by Jazz Wise as « a brilliant improviser, » guitarist Romain Pilon has gained international recognition through his albums. He has toured as a leader in many countries around the world (USA, Japan…) and has played and recorded with, among others: Brian Blade, Ben Wendel, Jeff Ballard, Seamus Blake, Walter Smith III, Baptiste Trotignon, Pierre de Bethmann, Sylvain Luc, and Linda May Han Oh…
He is back at 38Riv to present his newest album and most personal project to date: Open Roads. For the occasion, he invites the exceptional Fred Pasqua on drums and Gabriel Sauzay on double bass.
With a poetic writing style, playing with textures and atmospheres, the music of this trio draws from multiple influences: from Led Zeppelin to Wayne Shorter, through Miles Davis or Eric Satie. A beautiful evening in perspective.
